I held many leadership positions, from Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Budget Officer, and Staff Officer. I retired after 20 years of military service from Ft. McPherson, GA. I reside in Bowie, MD, and enjoy many hobbies, including sewing, fishing, crocheting, making homemade soap, and DC hand dancing.

Currently, I’m working for Delta Airline as well as Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Atlanta, GA. I’ve been working for Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office since 1999, where I hold various positions in this organization.In addition to that, I also hold the title of Administrative Director for LX3 Holding in Atlanta, GA, from 2013 to present. I’m not only accomplished in my work experience but also in my leadership roles.I have been a member of the Fulton County ADA/EEOC Committee and Georgia Violent Death Reporting System (GA-VDRS) Advisory Committee. I also served as a liaison for the Opioid Abuse Advisory Committee and am a member of the Fulton County Grant Writing Committee. Furthermore, I’ve served on the Board of Directors of Fit Girlz INC., a mentoring program for females aged 10-17. My diverse educational background and leadership experience make me an invaluable asset to any organization. I have obtained and/or facilitated various trainings including but not limited to Master Resiliency Training, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer, Clinical Pastoral Education, Combat Medical Ministry, Strong Bonds Relationship Trainer, and various Military trainings. I hold certifications as a Master Resilience Trainer, Certified Prevention Professional, National Certified Psych Tech IV, Certified Anger Management Specialist, Coaching, and as an Ordained Minister. In addition to having my own challenges with PTSD, I am also the father to a son diagnosed with Autism. I have experienced firsthand how being out in nature can go a long way in bringing clarity, peace, and relaxation to any condition and/or circumstance. Being able to share these experiences with my son has taught me the importance of reconnecting with nature and getting back to the basics. Being near bodies of water, whether it is the ocean or the nearest lake, has always been a way for me to get focused and recharge. Ultimately, it is my dream to retire near the ocean but for now I am committed to continuing to serve my community as a mentor, coach, instructor, and a supporter of other military veterans who have selflessly served our country with honor and integrity.

My mom joined the Military when I was in the 2 nd grade and we moved to Fort. Hood Texas when I was
in the 3 rd grade. We moved to Munich Germany my 4 th grade year and stayed till midway through my 7 th
grade year, when we moved back to Virginia while my mom had to do another Military School. It was a
tough transition leaving Germany, with all the freedoms to return to the States.
Graduated High School from Bradwell Institute, in Hinesville, Ga adjacent to Ft. Stewart in 1988. Played
Football, Baseball and Track at Bradwell, earning a Scholarship in Football and Track to various Schools.
Elected to play football at West Ga. College, now West Ga. University in 1992. While at West Ga. I joined
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in the Spring of 1989. I started my first business there as well, when I opened
up a College club called the Blue Paradise. It was a small but profitable business for the Frat as we had
the best parties after all major events, to include Homecoming games and Step Shows.
Upon Graduation from West Ga. Was also Commissioned as a 2LT. in the US Army. After Graduation,
went to Ft. Eustis, Va. To complete the Officers Training Academy as well as became a Platoon Leader. I
had my 1 st son while at Ft. Eustis and decided to move back to Atlanta to raise my son and join the
Atlanta Police Academy
Spent 8 years on the Atlanta Police Department and was an undercover Police Officer for the last 3
years, working on numerous assignments that involved some major crime arrests throughout the city.
My team led the city in narcotic, prostitution stings and car theft arrests.
I left the Atlanta Police Department in 1999, as my next business, Priority One Security, which I opened
in 1995, started growing. Priority One was providing security for a number of artists, to Include TLC
when they were just ascending, as well as a number of LA Face artists. Our Specialty became housing
projects, which we provided security for many AHA Properties and eventually took over all major AHA,
Atlanta Housing Authority’s portfolio. Due to the success of Priority One, I started a contract with the
Original Uptown Comedy Corner on Peachtree Rd., which led to me eventually starting the New Uptown
Comedy Corner in 2005.
Uptown Comedy Corner reopened in 2005 on Marietta St and has been functioning consistently every
since. Uptown has had some of the biggest names in Comedy, from its original owner, Earthquake, to
Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Mike Epps, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, DC Curry, DL Hughley, Bill Bellamy,
Sommore, Monique, Bruce Bruce, Deon Cole, Faizon Love, George Wallace J. Anthony Brown, Lavell
Crawford, Corey Holcomb and many more. It has opened the careers of so many since, like DC Young
Fly, Lil Duval, Karlous Miller and the list goes on and on. Uptown has become a staple in the Comedy
world and every knows, you have not made it until you have played Uptown.
During the years, I have started a Granite Company, two Sports Bars, clothing company, Bonding
Company and an Adult Entertainment Club.
On a personal level, I have coached Youth Football winning two Super Bowls, Youth Baseball, winning 2
World Series Titles, 2 Region titles and countless tournament titles. I have played and coached Adult Flag
Football for over 25 years, winning a National Title, over 10 Tournaments and countless number of
League Titles.

CSM Berry is married to Sergeant Major Kenya L. Berry (USA, Retired) of 29 years. Their two most significant accomplishments are their sons, Kenyon Michael Berry (28), a University of Kentucky graduate and Entrepreneur, and Kristian Michael Berry (19), who attends Texas State University & Central Texas College.

With both parents considered totally and permanently disabled due solely to their service-connected disabilities, I believe that helping others through her public health career is one of the noblest ways to serve one’s country. As the daughter of military veterans, she knows how disabilities can affect every facet of one’s life as well as the lives of their loved ones.
I received my undergraduate degree from Dillard University. I was a Peer Educator and conducted effective community outreach and STD/HIV prevention education to the youth of New Orleans, Louisiana. Furthermore, I graduated from San José State University with a Master’s in Public Health. I’m enrolled in the California State University-San Marcos Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification program. I have more than seven years of experience in a public health career field.

My extensive technical expertise in the Grants community and my ability to build strong partnerships across the healthcare sectors and community organizations have delivered powerful results throughout my career.
