Military Veterans Fishing Charter Values
Our Mission
The mission of the Military Veterans Fishing Charter (MVFC) is to help veterans gain the tools necessary to build confidence and trust within themselves as they take steps toward their individual healing journey. The MVFC offers military veterans alternative methods for dealing with the effects and challenges of PTSD. Veterans will have the opportunity to learn coping mechanisms that promote mental wellness and community through fellowship, shared experience, and outdoor activity.
Our Vision
To provide veterans the opportunity to travel, commune with nature, and create a community of support where true healing and growth can occur. We strive to provide veterans with a long-term community that assists them in understanding trauma and its effects and in turn gain positive coping mechanisms as they live with PTSD.
Our Values
Our core values are centered around community, inclusion, empathy, and safety.
Our Fundraising
Our marketing team has developed a marketing and fundraising strategy that includes:
- Individual donation via Donate here button on the MVFC website
- In-kind Donations
- The sale of merchandise; shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and thermos
- Fundraising events throughout the year
- Grants: Direct, Restricted, & Non-profit
Our Clients Says
Were are proud to serve and gift back to the men of women who made scarifies for our country. We couldn’t be more proud of our mission.
I truly appreciated the experience of my Alaskan Fishing Trip. I believe that the serenity and rhythm of the ocean allowed me to relax in a way that I haven't experienced in many years. The best part of my trip was the life long friends that I made, not to mention the delicious fish that I brought home.
US Army Veteran
This trip was a nostalgic, camaraderie-building and mainly an eventful endeavor as we all bonded over fishing and our shared military paths. This trip garnered newfound friendships we shared and will forever relive through pictures, stories, and memories.

I often felt irritated, stressed, lonely, paranoid, and untrustworthy, and my list was long. At least, that was until I had an opportunity to experience an Alaskan fishing excursion with Greg Williams and other vets. This fishing group has helped me to reconnect with my family and friends with a better perspective.
Disabled Veteran
It was just more than a fishing trip. It was a refuge to fellowship with comrades and escape the everyday horrors of serving this country during War and Peace times. Nothing has helped me more to overcome my silence and isolation than that fishing trip to Alaska. I have gained my confidence back, and now I am ready to travel to other places I always want to visit.

Greg took me and my son along on the fishing trip in Ninilchik, AK May 2021. That break from the hustle and bustle of life was much needed. The area was so serene, and the landscape was breathtaking. Attending the trip allowed us to rest, reset, and recharge. This is a must attend trip. We look forward to attending again in the future.
